Remedy is looking for a Senior Environment Artist, here's the info:
Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Max Payne® and Alan Wake®, and one of the leading independent game studios in the world is now looking for a
Senior Environment Artist.
We are looking for a great artist who wants to create visually stunning and industry-leading game worlds. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of composition, form, shape, volume and structure, as well as an excellent eye for light, shade and color. You know how to work with concept art and creative direction to create a diverse range of organic and architectural environments. You know how to work within a team and with your Lead to achieve these goals. Understanding pacing and large scale game worlds is a must.
Requirements & skills:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in game development and at least two shipped products as an artist.
- You have a great understanding of form, mass and volume.
- You have a strong understanding of color theory, materials and lighting.
- You have proficient knowledge of MAX/ Maya, MudBox / ZBrush and Photoshop.
- Ability to work with high and low detail assets.
- Clear verbal and written communication in English.
- Able to showcase your awesome online portfolio.
Plusses:
- Background in traditional art and any relevant experience or studies, for instance photography or architecture.
- Experience of using level/ environment editors.
