Yeah, so here is a little WIP i started before the weekend. Trying some new shadertricks, and wanted to make something fantasy and nextgen. Here are some rough screengrabs out of UDKs model viewer:
The textures are still very very WIP, basically a few layers of base material sofar, testing out shading etc... :]

Perfect_ROlemodel: Its all photoshop, but still very basic. :]
thats really cool! however. some of the sculpted details look a bit too muddy and its hard to tell what sort of material are. the helm piece itself texture wise kind of looks like metal, but the sculpting makes it look like its leather or something. the bone pieces on the bottom read very well though. however in the leftmost shot it seems like there's a bit too much contrast going on.. is that from post?
im looking forward to more of this.
How did you do your basemesh?
Could we see a screengrab?
:P
Oniram:...whoops ^^ haha The contrast you are talking about on the bone is actually reflection, and no, that is not supposed to be there About the muddyness, yeah, i see what you mean. Hopefully i will be able to tighten up the highlights and stuff in the texture a bit, that should help to accentuate the tighter edges a bit more, i hope :]
Dr Stench: me too, too bad i suck at heads xD
You missed this? *PUMPS FIST IN AIR*
but for real. thats the only thing I found. Amazing work as always. I am starting to think you are a robot and you and david lesperance were made in the same factory.
And uuh yeah, might have been a bit subconsciously inspired by skyrim It was just supposed to be a helmet, and i wanted to do some shadertests, and whooops
here is another angle to to show what that mess was about, and the sculpt :]
Any chance of showing the flats/wire?
O_O
Can You show us that printscreen?
