Looking for a couple digital graphics artists to help with texture design and concept art. 3D modeling artists also welcome to offer help.
Game
Name: Martian Worlds
Story is here:
http://surreallogic.com
In a nutshell, basically, you begin on earth, and fly into space to fight aliens by exploring new ways to kill them on other planets. The long description is a very exiting journey using alien-acquired powers similar to the Green Lantern.
Company
Surreal Logic is a new company just starting up. We have 4 3D Artists, 2 music composers, 2 developers, and I do the (somewhat amateur) concept art, among other stuff as well (terrain, models, music, effects, scripting, etc.).
Position
This position is for digital artist to help with textures and concept art (though if you do great 3D modeling [only], feel free to join as well). I can draw concept art, but some help would take it to the "next level" As well, all the 3D artists are occupied creating the models, so they've requested me to find help in texture designs.
You must be able to install Skype and able to chat with the group online in English (I've had some interested persons claim this was a problem believe it or not). You must also know how to work with SVN (though I can teach you if needed).
All members in the team have volunteered to help until the game goes live. There's, as of yet, no budget. All those on board now, who do a great job, will be offered paid work after public testing and official go-live. There is a chance for investor money of the game starts looking good during development.
(I may be persuaded to pay a small fee per texture/artwork created, so feel free to offer.)
FYI: The game is mostly free to play, but to support artists, I do plan to implement some kind of payment structure (for example, to open a special area, or allow leveling faster, etc.).
Example Screenshot Of Game (avatar is temporary, and will be replaced with a futuristic one):
Imagine being in a sci-fi looking exoskeleton suit, and seeing the moon in the distance over the mountains, then flying into space towards the moon, and landing on it?
There's a lot more to it you'll find out if interested.
Please provide a portfolio of your work.
Thanks.
