The Visual Effects Artist works on all Gearbox titles and interacts directly with the Visual FX Director, Art Directors, Game Designers, and Level Designers to create world class special effects that push technical boundaries and limitations of the Unreal Engine.
Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with a dynamic team of talented Visual FX and Technical Artists to create particle FX, post process FX, Cinematic FX, and solve problems that are considered impossible or problematic.
Create inspiring texture art using Photoshop.
Produce 3D geometry, UV mapping, or basic animations using 3D Studio Max.
Participate actively in meetings to discuss implementation, theory, visual messaging, and creation of Visual Effects.

Knowledge of art development on next-gen consoles.
Knowledge of specific game editors and particle effects tools.

Experience as a real time Visual FX Artist
Experience with 2D or 3D animation.
Scripting or any programming language.
Strong traditional Art Skills
Experience with Rayfire or other simulation tools
Experience with Apex and PhysX
