foliage textures

I have placed some foliage using the foliage tool

when I play in viewport all is well

when I play on PC, the textures have disappeared - I see the checkerboard on everything placed as foliage

the same mesh, placed individually, renders fine

anyone know whats going on???

    Are your textures in a package under the main udk accessable content folder? If they are being sourced from an "external" package they will not load at gameplay.

    yeah, I was using an external package originally

    But, I changed them so that they are in the content folder - but even new foliage has this problem of missed textures

    however, I can't understand why the same mesh can be textured when placed manually, and to have lost it when placed using the foliage tool

    OK, sorted it out in the end

    I had to delete the foliage actor and start again - I guess the foliage actor was still referencing the external package, despite my best efforts

    Well that sucks... I've been doing the same thing with my packages. Guess when it comes time to render some videos it's not going to show up. Damn it UDK... Guess I have to re-place the foliage.
