Zbrush normal map problem

Every time I try to make a normal map for this texture I get banding that only appears in the green channel. I am just trying to transfer the tiling normal to a flat plane. I'm still fairly new to Zbrush, so I'm assuming that I'm just forgetting something. In the pic, you can see the horizontal bands going across the map. The b&w part is the green channel. There is no sign of the banding in the other channels.

I would really appreciate some help. Thanks.

For a planar object, you could resize the document to the intended size of the texture, frame the model, and give it the matcap material that displays the normals. Then export the document.

As for the banding, what settings are you using when creating the map?

Thanks Cryrid. The problem was actually in the model. The mask I used to put the cracks between tiles had barely visible lines in it. I couldn't even see them on the model until I put the matcap material on it and zoomed in really close, but it was an easy fix.
