It's great that Blizzard are making some of their music available for download. I really liked the music from the Diablo series. I do have a gripe though - wasn't the Diablo II soundtrack once available to download free? The album is now on itunes for £8 (UK). Isn't this a little, well, greedy? Does anyone know if Matt Uelmen will actually get royalties from this?
Matt is a very cool guy. I know he has a facebook fansite.. I would write to him there and ask him. If I had to guess I would say that I doubt blizzard is kicking back anything to Matt.
I know these have been available for a while but if anyone is interested there are a bunch of Diablo II music tracks still available to download for free on Planet Diablo...
Some of the tracks include notes in the form of text files written by Matt Uelmen - giving an insight into his thought process while writing the music. There are also tracks here which are not on Blizzard's official soundtrack. Enjoy!
