You Can't Take It With You was a dungeon crawler that didn't quite make it out of the planning phases. It's big twist was an emphasis on generational dungeon crawling, where you go down once, collect as much cash as you can and then leave forever. The next person down is actually your son or daughter caught in the same financial troubles that brought the original character down in the first place. Any excess funds a generation brought back would go to the next generation's college fund, thus boosting their stats.
Visually it was supposed to be lovable with a touch of the absurd, hence things like the Hermit Crow, or the Puglins.

Executioner Chef and Giant Depressed Block Man need to be in a game STAT
@Snacuum: Hat's and other little attachable elements were going to be a big part of sprite reuse. It would be way easier to connect and animate a tiny little chef hat then it would be to create a whole new character. Also turning a murderous strong man bandit into a pudgy chef is funny.
sad it didn't make it that far when more generic ideas like the current plague of FPS clones make it all the way to release
better luck next time
