Mech body armour

Hey polycounters,

After watching iron man 2 for the first time yesterday, I had this urge to create some type of futuristic armour or either a full body mech suit. For concept I’m pretty much gathering a lot of different style of mech related stuff from the net and picking what looks best and then merging them with my ideas. Here is the very first stage, still building up the form of the chest area. Will keep on updating with more progress

Why don't you block out the whole thing in max or whatever your package of choice is?

I think that'll help you a lot more with the hard surface stuff.

Thanks for the replies guys, ok so I’m not on my main desktop where all my reference is so here is some of the reference that I am using for the mech. And Alberto Rdrgz i chose to do this all in zbrush after watching Mike Jenson create his hard surface mech suit entirely in zbrush. The DVD was definitely worth the buy, unbelievable work especially the end results. Have a look at it if you have not already . There might be some point where I may need to send it over to maya though
