oh man, this shot is awesome.
it would benefit from some scrub or other sorts of low-laying bushes, though, thinly interspersed throughout the grasses... perhaps hinting at a steambed that's out of view?
@Valias, wouldn't have gotten this far without all of your help and reference! I even based some of my textures off of those pictures you took.
@Habboi, that was mostly the result of me not knowing how to use color grading... I can't believe I thought both of those versions of the scenes looked fine back then. Won't make that mistake again!
@Dissonance, sounds like a good idea but I'm pretty burnt out on this scene. I'm probably just going to move onto a new scene I have planned.
Here's a few breakdown shots.
Probably won't get around to rendering that video because UDK constantly displays LIGHTING NEEDS TO BE REBUILT and PATHS NEED TO BE REBUILT on the screen and as far as I know there's no way to remove that. If someone knows of a way to remove them with a console command or something then I'll render out the video. I guess I could just render them with those messages but it really annoys me.
@S2Engine, thanks. "Toggleallscreenmessages" worked but some of my post processing doesn't show up in the video so I still don't think I'll post it. It just doesn't look the same.
