People apparently felt it in Canada. Didnt even know it happened Coincidence this happened the same time last year (remember one that happened in Toronto last summer)
I'm in central Virginia about 60 miles away from the epicenter - it's the first earthquake that I can remember being in. My office building shook and swayed for about 3 minutes but nothing fell. Hopefully there isn't any damage at home (I've been building my house for the last year and it's not quite finished yet).
The quake it self didnt really bother me. I AM though, pretty freaked out by the fact that this thing shook up a relativity large chunk of continental america... Thats just odd.
my joke contribution:
that wasn't an earthquake, it was the government collapsing.
badum-tsssssss
Felt it here in Raleigh... well I personally didn't but everyone else around the office swore it happened, and wife said the house shook twice for a bit. Not sure how I didn't notice anything.
I was working in my parents basement me and my father didn't feel a thing, my mom was upstairs and made It seem like someone died. We both come up and she already knew It was an earthquake, we went to see our pool and building foundation and we saw the pool rippling like crazy and other neighbors came out and looked scared as well while me and my father stood around laughing and joking, nothing else to do really.
Was cool though, (I missed It ) I also said what the hell is this California?

Shallow quakes are dangerous, nice to see relatively little damage.
