It's time that we have more game VFX representation on our boards! To start things off, here's something I've been working on in my free time:

I'm currently working on a realistic military shooter, so I wanted to create something a bit more fantasy-oriented. I wanted it to feel magical but not necessarily "stylized."
It's definitely WIP. I plan to add transitions into different colors to give it a more magic feel.
