HP: this is the xoliulshader 2 example asset and will be baked down to a low poly.
i am live again now. i am hoping to complete the interior of the model today including the engine, and start on the rear assembly so i can finish the high poly tomorrow.

skillmister: it's a line of little smooth discs that have been bent into shape, then has two noise modifiers added: one for big warpiness and one smaller scale one.
what now? texturing or you making low poly too?
here's the high poly and the render scene for anyone who wants to dissect it. use any part you want from it from any purpose, just don't steal as a whole. regardless, this will probably be on the portfolios of chinese/russian/indian "outsourcers" and on model marketplaces shortly after i post this.
btw i have power back now

Looks wicked btw big guy!
xenokratios: i used a top-down reference plane underneath for the basic proportions and eyeballed the rest.
xoliul: WELL HERE YOU GO SIR
i need to alpha the springs and add in the body pins but i'm pretty happy with this so far.
Edit: I was dissecting your scene (awesome btw) and I was wondering how you are getting that small black stroke on your render... Never seen that before.
Double Edit: Catmull-Rom

Really insightful.
here's the body design right now:
I was just watching your stream. I noticed that on the tail fin/spoiler thing there are two screws/bolts in the middle on the top, but two to each side of the middle on the bottom.
