Hey there just thought I would toss up a little thread to keep me on track. My goal is to do a hi poly fire hydrant from scratch in Zbrush to see what I can come up with. Certain parts worked pretty well, while others really required more brute force, it was a real learning process to say the least. Here it is in a clean state, from here I am going to play around with a little wear and tear.
If I were to do this again I would definitely build out more of the core mesh in max to keep things organized and then put it over to ZB to utilize the radials and then of course denting it up. Anyways gotta keep going! Comments welcome, thanks for looking!

I feel your hydrants bolts are all a bit large? Makes your whole hydrant feel a bit toy-like/unrealistic. And the cylinders protruding out kinda weird me out as they look like they were not modeled in, just kinda floated on top... But if your reference is like that then whatever keep it up!
You should texture it like this: Link! :poly142:
