Also, anyone knows if there is going to be some kind of baking solution for lower end software? Something with ID's per face value size maybe? Don't know anything about technicalities, but maybe a UV/ID tag on face size per ratio determined by the user incase you need to create lower scale quality for games would be nice.

to turn off the filtering...
go to the prefs --> render --> use texture filtering
you also get better painting for lowpoly stuff... cause in the new version you have support for hard edges and creasing... so you are able to subdivide the lowpoly without destroying the form to get cleaner paint strokes..
