I just needed a change in scenery. I was getting tired of the same view. Hope you like. C&C.
This is a molecular DNA structure. Colour coded to the standard system. Though the sequencing is not a true sequence, the structure is, to my knowledge, atleast 90% accurate.
C: black
O: red
P: orange
N: blue
H: white

Looks cool, man!
I just don't post low poly models. I'm not skilled at texture creation but I can do AO and normal map bakes. I have a micro uzi, but I need to to finish the UV unwrap.
Doesn't really matter if it's low-poly or not, but art aimed at video-games mainly.
Either way, good stuff, looks pretty cool.:)
how supportive.
Well, looks like I won't be posting any of my shit then. :P
Wouldnt know where to begin with this...
As for the term 'game art' What about animation/CG sequences? Ive seen plenty of games with DNA strands in them... RE has a few off the top of my head. So, may want to rethink your approach.
You are a dumbass.
Shiny DNA!
Needs more grime though. And edge scratches.
It would be if it had 3 hydrogen atoms, which it is lacking. so phosphodiesterase. But it does bond with the hydrogen in the deoxyrobose, so I'm not quite sure how they determine it in a dna strain.
but scratches is dirty it must be shiny!
Glad to see people like shiny.
PhosphodiesterASE (that "-ase" part is important!) is an enzyme. Enzymes are mostly proteins consisting of up to hunderds of thousands of individual amino-acid particles.
EDIT: Sorry, I was telling bullshit. It's not orthophosphoric acid's ahydride. Though i don't know how to name it (yeah, my english chemistry and biology related vocabulary severely lacks :P). It's just that ion that you get when you take away acid's H2O and one H
Anyways nice work on the DNA so far.
I always thought it was for any 3d art.
