exporting levels

Hello all!
i am currently working on a level on my PC using UDK for my friend. i finished it and eveything, but now he needs to open it up from his PC. I am using a older version of UDK and his, is the latest JULY 2011 version.
so my question is, how can i export my level/packages to his computer so that he can use them from his PC?

You can just copy the UPK and level files to his computer. As long as you're going upwards in version numbers it should be fine.

Thank you sprunghunt! But what about the packages that contain the custom skeletal meshes/static meshes/texture/etc that I made? (i.e. Imported to UDK)...

As Sprunghunt said, just give him the level file and the package file.

packages and .UPK files are the same thing.

UPK stands for Unreal PacKage

thanks sprung hunt! but when my friend imports the map, there are alot of missing files. i send him a .UDK but i cant seem to send the packages. any ideas on how to send UPK?

Well, just send the upk file with the map, I don't understand where is you problem here...
By the way, be sure that the packages are in the content folder of the udk at least (can be in sub-folder of the "Content" folder).

if you want to send him the map and have it all work you will need to send him all the upk's the map uses content from, and all of this should be in the udk content folder.
