Anyone seen this? I never thought video games would actually be blamed for bad things happening in the world. Its just as well this was brought up - after playing a bit of GTA, I always feel compelled to go out and start a riot, looting shops and setting fire to cars. :poly142:
It's good that the article writer doesn't side with the officer and chip in about how terrible games are.
By the way what happened I've been sat at my pc all day for a week doing art and missed all this. The only information I can find about why the riots are on is because an armed cocaine dealer got shot?
I've played the GTA series for roughly 10 years now (GTA 2, 3, Vice City, San Andreas, and IV combined), not including games such as Postal 2, Manhunt, Hitman, Condemned, and Carmageddon.
Guess that makes me an ultimate serial killer of extreme to the max!
I'll say get out the tranq guns and put all those little criminal shits down. There is no excuse for breaking into shops and burning cars and places. Fuckers.
I participated in a lockout about the school cuts that were made in the US about a year back.
Everyone accused us of being unfocused and hurting other students then, but you have to find some way to getting your message out there.
Right now a very small percentage of the people are violent compared the amount of peaceful demonstrators.
Becides England has been a police state for years, and the violence the people have seen enacted on them is vast compared to the damage they've inflicted so far.
