"Making of "Insert Game"" or "History of "Insert Company" videos.

Following on from the Bungie history video, Does anyone know of any good "Making of" videos for games that really dive into their development processes? or "History of" videos for any companies.

Right now, the only ones I can think of off the top of my head are the Machinima "Art of the Game" videos.

Hmm, I thought the latest Blizzcon Art Panel had some pretty good stuff, but I don't know if you can find it on YouTube. The Blizzard Retrospective is also a good watch.

If you're willing to play through Uncharted 1/2 (which you should be), there's some rather fantastic 'making of' videos you can unlock which are pretty in-depth, all departments too, not just art.

there's quite a few on gametrailers, usually more vid-doc type stuff, but (at least with older games) some can be pretty meaty.
Oddworld Strangers Wrath had a pre-order dvd packed with behind the scenes stuff, and a lot of older stuff as well, my wife got me mine off EBay but I'm sure you could track em down somewhere.
The Portal 2 - the Final Hours iphone app is also on steam and there's some pretty cool stuff on there as well.

definately some good God Of War 3 vids on the disc, Gears 1 & 2 (and prob 3) has some good ones as well.

also, the art books for GOW3, Uncharted2, and Darksiders in particular (while more about thwe art) are AWESOME behind the scenes sources. And the D'Artiste Character Modeling 2 book has some good Gears stuff as well with info on how they put together Dom and the Boomer.

I wish every studio would do these. We've done a lousy job of documenting our own history as an industry and an artform, especially from the development and creation side of things, and a lot of great stories and crucial experience from the pre-YouTube era is fading away.

Videos from studios are cool, but been on camera is another thing all together and I can understand why you don't see more of it. Karl in the Crytek UK video makes it look so easy, Aidan is so confident as well. But when they asked if I would talk to them I was like "Yeah sure, why not. How hard can this be?" But as soon as they point that camera on you its like someone holding a gun to your head. I seriously had no idea what had happened once it was all over. I would have loved to really go in depth about how we work and what we do, but in the heat of the moment you just end up splurging out anything.
