I just picked up [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Guide-Vehicles-Vessels-Star/dp/0345449029/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1312323144&sr=1-2"]this[/ame] at Barnes and Noble in the bargain bin yesterday. How ironic. It's got front, side, and perspective views of ALL TEH SHIPS. It's badass.

When I was making my AT-ST I found quite alot of ref on Flickr. It was a replica model but proved quite handy.

one thing to watch out for, if you're creating vehicles from the more recent 3 movies then watch out for inconsistencies between the CG shots and up close prop models. The number of inconsistencies between the two sources (some times only seconds away from each other in shots of the movie) can be staggering.

This is especially true with the pod racers, but was also a real pain on the robot force's tanks and carriers during the attack on Theed.
