Zbrush4 Project all question

Hi everyone,
I hope I am posting in the right place, I apologise if not, newbie here.:)

My question is about Zbrush 4 and the project all process.

I have made a simple high res model (in zbrush) and I have the low res version (made in Zbrush)

Sorry If I sound like an idiot but that goes with being a newbie-lol

I take my high res tool in- I then append my low res tool to the high res.
Whilst on the low version, I rev up the sub divide to a nice amount.
I then go to the high res tool and store morph target.
I then press project all, and as far as I can see not much has happened

Can anyone tell me in newbie terms where I am going wrong? Many thanks :)

    append low poly
    subdivide low poly
project all with low poly selected

if it's not changing, screenshots of what you're doing will help

The high-res won't need a morph target as it isn't about to change, though you may want to apply one to the lowest resolution mesh.

Basically, append one of the tools to the other, select the low-poly, and subdivide it enough to have sufficient geometry for the transfer like you have. It's optional, but you can give the lowpoly a morph target to help 'paint out' any projection errors later on. With those two subtools (high and low) both visible (project all only works with visible meshes) and with the low poly subtool active, hit project all. I'm assuming the values for it are at the defaults and not turned to 0.

martiangirl if i understand right your question look at this tut here:

    http://3d.dtuts.com/3d-tutorials/making-of-rock-arch/

go to fig.12 of the tut and you will see it. I hope is well explained.

this is exactly what marine and cryrid explains
