New 2011 PC Computer! Advice needed and welcomed

Hey PC, just wanted to share something I am going to build, please feel free to throw me some comments and suggestions! Still super new to this, this is basically my first one, alone.

Budget is around $800-$850. Gaming PC (gaming will the heaviest work the PC would have to do.)

I am buying from TigerDirect because there is a warehouse near my house and I think I might be able to order it there for a in-store pick up, if they don't have all the hardware I'm looking for in-store.

Llano from AMD will be slower than what he's currently planning to use. Are you going AMD because it's a little cheaper than the Intel processors? Everything else looks solid.

128Gb SSD for primary hard drive is the way to go imo.

probably worth getting a second hard drive and using one purely as a backup if you're planning on doing any work on it rather than just gaming. storage space is so cheap these days and losing work is literally the worst possible thing if you're an aspiring artist.

I'm a bit suspicious of that PSU. I wouldn't buy anything that isn't 80 PLUS certified. For $55, it likely has some cheap components (i.e. weak heat sinks, low tolerance capacitors, etc.). For an extra $15 ($69.99 total) you can get a Rosewill RG700-S12 700W PSU. 80 PLUS certified. I've never heard of Diablotek, but they sound like a bargain basement company.

Oh, upgrade that heatsink on the CPU. The stock cooler is only suitable for mainstream computing. You'll want a good aftermarket cooler so your CPU stays stable while rendering or gaming. Do some research and find what suits you the best.

Yes, after market cooling?

I will def. keep that in mind! New to liquid cooling and that Hydro H50 looks nice, but I might have to go with something similar to what arrangemonk suggested.

The SSD drive seems a bit useless right now, maybe in a year or so . Might have to buy a external very soon, the 1tb ones are quite cheap!

I will also look into the powersupply problem as well, I don't see a negative in spending an extra $15 for better hardware (as long as it's in the budget).

That looks a bit anemic with only 2 heat pipes. I'd recommend a heat sink with at least 3 heat pipes and 90mm fan or larger. Two pipes just won't move enough heat off of the CPU.
