Heya, I'm making this WW2 jeep for and would love some crit. There are still lots of bits to make and I'm going to model and take some parts like the seats in to zbrush. Then I gotta make the gun in the center. Some crits would be awesome Thanks
thanks for the crit Will look at that back part (totally forgot to make the other bit) and the gun size when I get in. I'm sure the ref I had showed the angle on the side of the Jeep, but I will double check that too Will post more soon!
done with the model and on to presentation! (Unless anything is pointed out as being wrong) I'm trying to play about with my presentation atm so crits would b great Thanks
Hello, just thought I would post my high poly jeep model now that the competition is over Was very fun to make and I plan to do a low poly sometime soon
Thanks guys I do have a turntable actually, unfortunately its not the best quality. I kicked off my render the night before the competition ended and it crashed overnight. It left me with not enough time to do a nice quality one and I had to use my PC and my boyfriends to render all day to get it done in time. Here it is anyway, will do a better one soon
Also, I modelled the rope by making a long straight section first. I then made a primitive spiral object and made a shape from selection from one loop of it. I tweaked the new spline in to the shape I wanted my rope to conform to and then used the path deform on the rope piece to make it run along the path.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but I think the backseat area would look cool if it had empty shells all over it from the .50 cal. Otherwise the model is kick ass, nice job

I love it.
Post more shots!
Which version are you going for?
Also, the Jeep's hood seems to be extruded when it's flat with the rest of the body.
Thirdly, the bar that goes around the back of the jeep (Sorry I don't know the name) is supposed to be double to do this : http://www.jkr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Willys-jeep.jpg
Look at the two bars for holding the roof.
Looking great though!
Thanks

It is really long :P In fact, it was used as a sniping platform :poly121:
The slightly exaggerated proportions really gives it character, good job
Would love to see you go ahead and bake it down.
