Greetings-
just finished my 5th module in the Guildhall at SMU, and as part of the class requirements I have to post my work for a public critique.
My assignment was to design a character and his home environment to fit seamlessly into an existing video game franchise. I chose the Portal universe and created Hector, an immigrant maintenance worker who was trapped in Aperture Labs and forced to live behind the scenes like the Ratman.
I really enjoyed the mental exercise that went into designing Hector and his environment and figuring out his psychology and background, much moreso than actually rendering the character.
These pieces still need some polish before they can become portfolio pieces, so please feel free to critique them.
thanks.

I guess I`m irked by the stylistic choice to make his face extremely well rendered, proportionaly and everything, then he has these big and chunky legs and feet that would look more appropriate on a charterer that matches that style.
