I'm starting a small project for my portfolio. It's called Aquamarine, and it has to do with deep sea exploration and excavation. I finished drawing up the concept for the main character, which I will get into 3D modelling real soon.
I don't know how big of a project I'm going to make this, but I'm looking into making 2 human characters, a ship, a sea creature and a level asset. So this will be the first character and then I'll move along to the other ones.
So far, all I can show you are some of the concept arts I did for the main character. I'll probably make a new thread for each different asset I'm going to do.
So without further ado, here I go. Crits are always welcome.

Before I do that, I wanna hear crits and improvements before i move on so fire away
Progress so far. This is just the blockout mesh where I'll start adding armor and boots/gloves on. But yeah, modelled the hair out, that im going to keep =3=
Also, the sculpt is lacking some of the charm of the concept so far, needs more curve (but not more mass) in the hips and ribs and thighs.
Seal team is responsible for killing extraordinarily high value targets and are renown for physical and mental capabilites, and there's no way i'm going to believe she was accepted to seals.
And yeah i was thinking that she might be abit lean for what she does so I'll tweak it abit. I might change it so that instead of SEAL she did a marine enlist program, or something.
Modelling the boots in maya. Once everything else has been modelled out ill move it to zbrush to put the finer details in.
Time for the gloves!
Lastly I'm not sure if its a big problem but are shoe clip thingies usually on the outside of the shoe rather than in? Dunno if it would make a huge deal tho.
Finished Hi Poly Gloves. Now off to model out the suit =3=
I'll put it in zbrush later when im done maya modelling out the other parts of the suits for the smaller details.
