I wish it was Evil Dead 4 instead of a remake... I wonder if it's going to be like the first one and just be frightening, or like the sequel and add the comedy and absurdity to it.

I'm not really a fan of remakes, especially as the original movie is brilliant, better than most recent horror movies anyway. Think i'd rather see Evil Dead 4 and keep the comedy going, rather than spoil a classic.

10 bucks says Bruce is only in it as bit part near the start. Playing a garage owner that warns the party of kids not to cross the bridge after mignight. If thats the case the movie will be lame.

If Bruce plays the lead role. SIGN ME UP!.....(doubtful)

Also. I bet its 3D CG and not latex models and shit...I hate the future....

I hope it's like the first movie. I wasn't too fond of the second and third. With the first you know it was unintentionally funny and that's what made me laugh plus is made me jump, even today. Two just pisses me off cause of that stupid bloke with the shotgun and the movie just starts up straight away as if to say "Yeah, f*ck the intro and the suspense, lets see some demons!"

YEEEEEEEES! Remake or not, I am SO DOWN!
I'm super glad they're not remaking Army of Darkness. I enjoyed it, but it was nowhere near the quality of the first two.
If this is a remake of Evil Dead... and Evil Dead 2 was essentially a remake of Evil Dead... will this mark the 3rd remake of Evil Dead? Good lord.

Also, I'm betting we won't see a shit-ton of CG. Look at Drag Me To Hell for reference. Raimi has stepped up his game without sacrificing his quality. At least when it's his own project and not some big blockbuster.

Oh dude, Drag Me To Hell was fantastic. Evil Dead and Drag Me To Hell, definitely on my list of favorite horror flicks.

The second Evil Dead wasn't a remake of the first, actually. The beginning bit is a super-simplified recap of the first while the rest continues from where it left off.
