Hello polycounters,
I'm putting the finishing touches to my portfolio and I'd be grateful for any critique, be it of the animations or the layout of the site. My goal is to work with animation, preferably game animations where I have the most experience.

Oh and I must thank Jonas 'JGcount' Georgakakis for his amazing model which is featured in the showreel. I've mentioned him in the shot breakdown list but I don't think I can mention and thank him enough.

I am not an expert animator, nor I am 100% sure about how a game animator portfolio should be.
But there are my thoughts:
-Your website looks clean and nice. Easy to navegate and simple. A bit too simple... :poly124: I didn´t find any information about who you are...what you have been doing. A resume or a short description about you and your objectives would be nice. If you just want a online place to show your work it is fine, but once you have a demoreel there you probably are looking for jobs...You said you have most experience in game animation. You should tell the viewer where you got that. From your website you can´t find anything related. (besides a nice demoreel...hehe)
-Game animation for me means cycles and action. All animations in your reel are complete clips. That is fine for cinematics, but ingame animations are more related with short cycles. I´ve checked a video today thats illustrate well what I am talking about: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCMwsy8bRGc&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
When I search for game animations in youtube generaly I am looking for this kind of stuff.
-Also some shots, punch or kicks are aways present in games. You could consider the basics when you are playing: Walk, run, turn, action, attack, die...
I´ve done something in Unity that maybe can be helpfull...I am am sure you can do better!

-Also the breackdown is not a big list, you could put that in your page instead a separated .pdf.
Sorry for this long post, but It was hard to tell that in short sentences...
I'll be adding an about slide on the contact page, a little this is me and this is what I want to acheive.
Yeah I'm down with creating cycles but I've had a hard time presenting them. The run and walk are both cycles, they're done on 20 and 36 frames and because of the shortness of the animations I've looped them a two and three times to get some secondary action in the eyes.
Tl;dr: I think that unity game was brilliant idea and I might even do something similiar to it.
I'm a little unsure of what you'd right in the about section but I wrote a small bio and a picture so people would have a face to remember me by.
