hello guys. I currently working on simple low-poly gun. this is a project that I started for one of my client but after the project canceled so I decided to practice myself and do it for me. I just wonder if there are any suggestion in Uving especially. because i think that there are to many Uv elements, and the model will have too much seems. but! i split the model just like the smoothing groups are. otherwise i won't have good normal maps baked (I know this from practice). so maybe I'm wrong and the Uvs should look like this but still would be nice to hear some suggestions form community...
You totally don't need those holes on lowpoly magazine... they can be easily done with normal map I guess.
Generally, there's a ton of redundant polygons on LP, not adding anything to the silhouette...
thanks for reply mate, I actually thought about the holes while doing the magazine but nobody replied on the thread so I decided to do it the way I knew. I was doing the model for me so there was no poly budget or any limits, but agree with you... lowpoly could be optimized even more.
