Hi everyone. Quick introduction of myself : I work as an environment artist at THQ Montreal, I've been watching the "Dozer Part 1" tutorial from Laurens Corijn and I wanted to give it a try and practice my subD skills. But I will be making the complete version with the cage and everything, so it defers from the one of the tutorial.

Now get your ass on the PC instead of over my shoulder and finish this thing biatch!
The roof is a bit higher due to the added armor. The cabin shape is actually the trickiest to blockout because reference can differ there pending versions (M, R, T)
keep it up
thanks!
yes I will be making the LP and texture it...
thanks
thanks!!!!
Another update, made the lights and added a few details, added some more bolts as well in a few places
Hope to finish it soon...
post bigger pics :P
keep it up
thanks !!! I want so bad to start the texture...
I know, haha, loving frienddd!
The two that stood out right away:
-the big piston for the blade mounts, on the right, has different proportions than yours. It's fatter.
-The top pistons of the rippers are oriented wrong! It could never function that way. Both pistons have to be straight or the construction would rip itself apart. That means you have to extend the mounting points on the actual ripper bracket at the back, so they sit as far outwards as the mounting points on the body. Hope you understand?
Standing on the Vehiecle and watching down onto the Mechanic of the Ripper the Pistons should be parallel to each other and not coming together at the top of it.
I wish there would be a possibility to draw on existing Forum Images without having to download the image, alter it and then reupload it.
You can also see there's only one of those piston assemblies on the side of the ripper housing, while you have two.
Actually, when I was modeling that piece, it seemed strange to me the mecanism with the pistons not aligned correctly...
I fixed the pistons and added a few details and the pipes as well.
thanks again for the help...I really appreciate it
