[3DS MAX] Side panels not working properly.

Hello! A coworker of mine is working in Max and her side panels are not working properly.
Side panels = Where you modifier stack + options are. I'm not sure whats its actual name is in Max so that's what I mean by 'side panel'.
Typically, when you expand the panels to be 2, 3, 4 columns (etc.) the options within the panel will converge over to the newly created panels. Unfortunately, on her end all the options are remaining in the original column while the new ones stay empty.
Any idea what might be causing this?
If there's confusion over what area of the UI I am talking about I will take a picture of it when I get home.

UI Locking and that. And reloading the UI completely?.
As for the panels stuff. I think I am with you what she has done. Dragged out the modifier/command panel to create some extra columns?.
If so.. try this,
If you right click the top of the bar next to the hammer icon.
Press Dock > Right
It should hopefully arrange the columns for you.
