Looking for a good deal on a video card

So after a lot of let downs i believe i can't fix my video card that i used to have. SAPPHIRE HD 4870 X2 2G GDDR5 PCI-E

so i am looking to buy a new one. I don't want to go crazy and spend 500 bucks on one. I want to spend like 150 to 250 dlls. Here at work someone recommended me the Radeon 6790 1gb. Paid $150.

But i don't think that will run deus ex, arkham city and skyrim on nice settings. I guess i don't look to run things at ultra settings, but my old video card could run everything i put in really high settings most of the time. So any good deals on video cards that will be worth having for the next 3 years?

Do you use Maya and Max? careful with ATI's

use both. i thought ati's have better processing than Nvidia? the benchmarks i've seen tell me the ati is faster and overall better, i think i've used ati since i can remember, and i use it to run max, maya, udk, zbrush, photoshop and no issues at least that i can remember.
