3D Text issues?

Me again.

I think anyone can replicate this error/problem/issue.
Can't get around to getting It to work for me.

Went into Maya and Max, in max I can't even see It listed, in Maya It mentions something about Illustrator... How do I get this crap to work?

Don't want to run into this down the line with another text/font so this is why I have requested guru assistance.

Everyone has been helpful thus far I am utilizing all my threads response's and will get back to them when I have time.

Didn't work thanks though db.
Had to convert it to ttf cause they don't read otf.

You can usually also just create the text using that font in Illustrator, convert the text to a path, and save that out as an .eps file. Then you should be able to import that into 3dsmax as a spline object which you can then do other stuff with. Just make sure that from Illustrator you export the oldest possible type of EPS file, to ensure 3dsmax will actually open it.

Of course that does create an extra step (and assumes you have Illustrator to begin with), so good to know converting to TTF works too
