[FONT="]Responsibilities[/FONT]- [FONT="]Research and develop [/FONT][FONT="]solutions for complex art and design workflows in collaboration with the respective department leads[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Design, implement and maintain art and level design production pipeline using both off-the-shelf and proprietary software[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Establish asset creation guidelines and standards[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Establish content budgets for artists and level designers[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Create training files, examples, text and tutorials and assist the art and level design departments in learning new technologies and processes[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Review current and emerging technologies and technical developments for incorporation into the game engine[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Provide feedback on contingency solutions and timelines[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Establish performance profiling and guidelines[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Documentation of new systems and tools[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Report directly to the Lead Technical Artist and work closely with other disciplines in small interdisciplinary teams.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Qualifications:[/FONT]- [FONT="]At least 2 years experience as a Technical Artist [/FONT][FONT="]in game development[/FONT][FONT="]or modding[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Strong understanding of technical limits and excellent technical problem solving skills[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Strong knowledge of the Unreal Engine [/FONT]
- [FONT="]Strong knowledge of 3ds Max/Maya[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Knowledge of additional 3D and 2D authoring tools[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Knowledge of current 3D graphics techniques[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Scripting experience (Max Script, Mel, Python, Lua or UC)[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Experience with content management systems (Perforce, Alienbrain)[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Excellent communication and team skills[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Strong verbal and written communication skills in English[/FONT]
[FONT="]Desirable skills:[/FONT]- [FONT="]Experience in developing for XBox 360 or Playstation 3 is beneficial[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Knowledge of modelling, lighting, texturing/shading, rendering, rigging, skinning, animation, in-game physics and special effects[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Experience with procedural building generation (CityEngine, UE3 ProcBuilding or similar)[/FONT]
