I have been using max 2010 for a while now, but it stayed pretty unstable, and I started hearing great things about max2012, so I decide to download the trial and try it out.
now at first sight everything looked fine, played around with the nitrous renderer before turning it off.
now I went to playing around with it, so I dragged a sphere, and noticed that the shading is very very flat compared with 2010

I tried using Xoliulshader 1.6 to see if that fixed anything, but whatever I did, everything stayed brighter then usual.
has anyone encountered the same issue, and how do I get the shading to behave as it is in max 2010 (and any max before that)?

edit: somehow the gamma correction thing was turned on, disabled it and its looks fine now.. thnx man!
