Wow, photoshop for sound ?

Pretty impressive and original idea, working on spectral representation of sound as you would on a picture in photoshop, looks like it will be VERY interesting for people who like to craft weird sounds.

I've been doing a lot of that in Adobe Audition's spectral view for years.

Spectral editing has been available for a long time, but a dedicated tool like this one would be lovely.

Not that I would do it, but would this not work for extracting tracks from songs. Like I want that the vocals or a drum beat from a song?

Already possible in Audition - plus there are other packages geared toward the 'karaoke' market that are specifically for that.

I use it primarily to 'paint out' background noise in recorded interviews.
