I will be working on a Level in UDK from start to finish in 21 days while i have a break from class. I will post my progress here from start to finish. In three week i should have a beta release of a level. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
here is the sketch/ layout i have come up with so far. The level will be a garden style setting in the mountaintops surrounded by sandstone buildings. Currently in pre-production. on schedule.
loving the level progress! really nice to see the top down map, does the lava go stright onto the floor or is there a gap it falls between the main bulk of land?
If its on the floor you could have fun with dried lava across the floor perhaps in shapes of things it's already killed?
I like your idea though the lighting here could be really nice in UDK.
Good job
cool level. I think the lava is to much yellow and it doesnt fit with the texture that you have painted. Think you either should make the lava more orange/red or the cracks in the stone texture more yellowish
the grain is just there because of the program in which i made the gif sorry bout that, i am making modular pices for my garden level, but meanwhile i have some concepts for a mage character for a flash game a classmate of my is developing.
More level Updated coming soon, laval level finished with a bunch of cool stuff and the garden level is coming together; meanwhile i made an illustration.
