Photoshop - Batch Edit - GIF

Hey to all,

I was wondering if there was a way to batch edit frames of an animated GIF in Photoshop or any other application.

I have a simple animation, but I would like to remove the certain parts of it and propagate that change to my other frames.

Example: Blue dot floating up and down on white background, I would like to remove the white background from all the frames.

Record a macro/action and play it back on all the frames.
Not sure if one can automagically run it on all frames. (maybe last step of the action step forward a frame?) Search found this:

Fire up after effects or virtual dub and overlay that part with some sprite and render it out again.

OOOOOOooooh! You can do that in After Effects? Neato, I'll have to hit up and see.
