The remesh modifier has been in testing for a bit now, but it was mentioned recently and worth noting.
The cooler development imo is a project based on this paper:

Remesh is also included in many of the other graphicall builds, which currently contain many many great new addons.

I am most excited about the remesh modifier, I could never have dreamed that it would work this well :O

specter, fortunately it's free and you can just export the blender obj to max.

Holy christ on a bike. Blender just won at the internet.
I wanna see how remesh works on a human shaped mesh though...

It's still buggy and experimental, but damned if I ever go back to 3ds max now.
