Teaching myself how to paint/draw better... i have a lot of old books covering traditional methods which are very useful, but are there any books which aim themselves towards digital painting while still covering anatomy and perspective too?
Any suggestions/recommendations would be fantastic

A lot more directed towards how to achieve certain effects in photoshop, and general skin rendering and such. But still an excellent buy.
Mechanika:

good techniques, covers composition and perspective as well.

and yeah the Digital Masters/3DTotal ones too.
Great magazine. Monthly tutorials, painting process breakdowns and free custom brushes. It's basically all photoshop though, so if you don't use photoshop you probably won't get much use out of it.
I'd also recommend Dylan Cole and Dusso's Gnomon DVDs as they're excellent
