Our client, a producer of AAA-title games are currently looking for an expert in Unreal to join our level design/scripting team. This role will involve designing and creating levels in Unreal along with working with other team members by providing training and assistance, identifying best practices and anticipating technical/workflow issues.
Requirements for the position of Unreal Level Designer:
- Considerable level creation previous experience (full/indie/mod titles) with Unreal Engine 3
- Extensive knowledge of Unreal including technical limitations and capabilities
- Very good level design skills and experience
- Understanding of scripting using Unreal
- Good design sense
- Strong work ethic
Your responsibilities as Unreal Level Designer will include, but is not limited to:
- Raise the bar for level design by creating fun, creative and polished levels that take into account the technical, design and story requirements of the game
- Create levels in Unreal to a high quality level and within schedule
- Act as team expert on Unreal and help train up other team members
- Also provide insight to anticipate technical/workflow issues and provide solutions
- Liaise closely with other disciplines to realise a shared vision
- Be a positive, active, hardworking and contributing team member
