Great high poly you have here. Based on your reference I think a few things would make this look more badass like the reference.
First the gaps in the tire tread of the actual truck are huge, almost 3/4 the size of the actual tread itself. I think this gives it a more rugged / military feel.
Like coldhands said the cloth could be much tighter and have sharper creases, again this will make it more rugged and military.
Beyond that, nice details, looking forward to more.
chaosquack: thanks for the reply and tips. I'll work on it soon enough. For the cloth, it hasn't been tweaked yet since it's a super-simple geometry with cloth modifier.
For the tires I had another reference but I think you got a nice point of view and I'll try to apply it to my model.
I messed up the steering (+ lot of things I can think of and I did't change what people have critiqued ). I might come back to this model but for now I feel like I need new challenges. I'm gonna start working on an environment.

I know interiors of soviet/postsoviet vehicles are spartan at best, but still
@Jernej: The company which made those vehicules was a Slovenian and Ygoslav corporation. It does look cool to say it's slovenian :P
@PHArt: Here what I mostly used as reference
@c0ldhands: I know my render material is a mental ray' SSS, gotta love the clay render
