I bought the next gen texturing tutorial
Found here, a little while ago and decided to watch it to get my texturing workflow down. I noticed that this piece has 7 different texture maps. This seems like too many for the size of this piece.
I am not here to bash the artist, but I need to do things right, or its all pointless. So could someone please tell me if having this many textures on this piece is good or bad.
Thanks

If he's reusing them, it's good, if not, bad. Remember, the DVD is about Techniques, and not Workflow with loads of pointers, and it's more of presentation thingy.
I mean the other video they have for UDK where the guy creates a Parallax Mapped window is also unfeasible, but it also teaches the Techniques.
