So I recently posted my Abandoned Train Station on here and mentioned I was working on another level for graduation. Here it is. Its not as far finished as I wanted but I am quickly running out of time lol. Critique is always welcome and encouraged
Reflections on the street read well. How are you doing those? I tried working those into a scene I did and hit a wall in UDK.
The size of the lights on the bridge make it feel like a toy or something really small placed in the scene. Look at the size of the window lights on the buildings in the background. Those are obviously much further away. But I would make the lights on the bridge somewhere between where they are at and those. Also the light on the bus stop needs some volume fog. Actually all the street lamps do. It'll help those not get so lost in the scene. Fog will help separate your planes view.
All that said I think you're trying to work in a few too many colors for lights. Red, yellow, orange, blue, purple shadows in places. It's all a bit much. Try to work in maybe a nice triad color scheme. Maybe yellow, purple, teal. Whatever just a refine the colors.
I agree with Jeffro with the current lighting setup my eyes aren't sure where to settle. I'd also add some dirt decals under the street lamps and phone box to tie them to the ground plus add some road markings to the road - its so clean! I really like the reflections you have going on was that achieved with the new image based reflections?
