Hi folks, it's been a long while since I posted anything on here, probably way back in Dom War 4 or something like that. It's a great community and I thought I'd jump back in and start sharing stuff/getting involved.
really impressed with those sketches, your really good at creating depth in your scenes. Can you do a small tutorial of the first image from the quick environment sketches, also what do you think about while creating these images, also are you looking at references?
In terms of how I go about creating these I will save out a step by step the next time I do some so you guys can see. I mainly just play around with shapes, finding ones that work and then finding others that work well with them, either by complementing or contrasting. Its all fairly straightforward, I just try to keep them nice and loose and try not to spend more than 25 mins or so on each, after that I start to involuntarily tighten up and they lose their fun
great environment sketches, and only 25 minutes!... it's not something I've ever given a go so would love to see that step by step guide for the next one.
I really like your "BRRRR..." environment on your cg-hub, shows a great sense of depth. Your quick sketches are inspiring, hardest part for me is the thumbnail/sketch phase. Are you using any photo-bashing for them or is it all custom brushes?

whenever I get some free time, I'm definitely going to try my hand at modeling the giant red mech
keep it up!
So good! Love your characters, but I would be interested in seeing more of your environment work
Heres a few quick environment sketches, had loads of fun doing these

really like how you play with shapes in your designs

gasmask blokes for the win though....I'm a sucker for a gasmask character.
Nick man, hows it going? long time no see! Hope everythings going well for ya.
Another character before jumping into some more environment sketches.
Jarkis, I usually just start with custom brushes for those initial sketches but occasionally I'll throw a photo in if it saves time cos I'm uber lazy
Loving the enviro's the most. Great stuff!
