Well I havent posted in a while so here goes! I've decided on a Courtesan type character but am still keeping the design kind of fluid - got a lot of ideas that havent made it into the rough sketch. I'm thinking of adding a frilly umbrella prop, maybe a fascinator to her hair, perhaps a masquerade mask. Anyway heres the WIP concept and some base mesh set up in Zbrush ready for sculpting.

only complaints i have are the pointy jaw line (in front view), the rough arms and that she's leaning forward so much. the arms could use some softening, too.
I've started working on a female character and am a little unsure what she'll turn out to be right now so I'm focusing on the base anatomy and proportions. So far she's all (minus the ears) sculpted from Zspheres so the feet and hands are pretty rubbish but I'll sort them out when I retopologise.
