Industrial Design - Scene

I´ve started a fast blockout of a modular industrial scene. I want to create something like a hydroelectric facility, but only a small one. Not realy sure about the final layout, just playing around and trying different placements of shapes.

Any comments, crits, ideas or maybee links to nice references and stuff like this would be realy amazing. Hope anybody is finding some time...

    The generator thingy to the left on the second picture looks oddly placed. Since this is a block out without the references you are using, its hard to tell what you are doing.

    Try and make your model feel logical... ie this pipe goes to this machine and is then connected to a power supply box.

    Thanks for the comment. and yes you´re absolutely right....so I poste some references I´m using. I want to have the generator as an unique asset which will be used 2-3 times with absolut different placement. The main objects are the 4 "wheels". The function of the generator is that there will be fuel or something, coming through the small pipes and the produced electricity is running through the big ones. The generator is also an emergency-electricity-source which will be used to reactivate the facility if its necessary.

    An update of my industry-scene. "Wheels" are connecte to the pipe system, and the seams of the big pipes are hidden now. Connections to the power generators and seams of the small pipes will follow.

    I´ve also created some simple wall-segments for getting an idea of the whole room I want to build.
    Also playing around with my lighting setup for finding a nice placement of windows in my walls later.

    There will be at least one window in the wall (I think that two windows in different walls will be better) and one at the ceiling.

    I´am sorry about my "not HD-render-quality" but I want to keep things fast and it should be enough to get the point :p

    Found some time to continue working on my industry scene. First Highpoly is done, pipe-construction nearly finished.

    Long time ago, there was an industry scene I´m working on....:p

    Blockout is nearly completed, first highpolys are done and partly baked, also start to add textures to get an idea of the final appearance. Got some lighting errors in my rendering, but I´m going to bring this into UDK so I don´t fixed that.

    Anything is wip (esp. the pipe-textures^^), pics are rendered with mental ray.
