Sci fi Panels with Photoshop

Hey was wondering if anyone could direct me to some good tutorials or techniques that I could use to help get these types of results. With my current workflow I would model all of this to a plane and bake out all the maps. I feel like photoshop would be a lot quicker in getting some quick techy type stuff into my scene. The best thing I have found so far is to use NDO to do my normal map first. Then use Xnormal to produce my AO and the complete the diffuse off of the AO.
