Hello.
During the last couple of days I've been working on buildings for a F-Zeroesque racing game.
The theme is sort of a mash-up between the 60's space age and art deco set in the future;
functionalism, Mediterranean isle resorts, marble and rocket launches but with a twist!
The buildings are both thought to be at distance and near the roadway.
The goal is to make all these buildings in about 5000 triangles. They will also share the same texture maps.
Yes, without further ado. Some rough concepts:

But then again if it's just for a sexy portfolio piece it might be alright The buildings we did for Motorstorm Apocalypse were kinda blocky.
If I were you I would probably have another texture sheet for like neon-signs and ads you can place on the buildings to make em look more interesting as you drive past.
Good work so far!
It's been slow for a while, but now it's time for an update.
Thanks for the reply, Chris! I've embraced the criticism and made a few changes:
The geometry has been cut down, although the edge loops are still needed to repeat the texture.
We have also built a series of neon signs for the houses. For right now, like you said, they look pretty flat.
Anyway, here is how it looks in the game now:
