Hi all,
Believe me I've been looking into this but I'm still confused by the process.
I want to make tileable assets for use in UDK, I've started with a floor panel 512x512. I have made a tileable texture at the same dimensions. I started by creating a plane in 3ds max at this size, then used Goz to bring it to zbrush.
From here can someone tell me what the process is to add detail to this plane whilst making it tile?.. I have seen tutorials where you create one brick and then copy and paste it over, then use the tilde key to make sure it tiles. This way seems extremely long winded, is there not a way I can just use the tileable texture to make a tileable high res model in zbrush?..
I hope you can help!
