I feel dumb.
I created a mesh with a bunch of polygroups. I want to "explode" this mesh so that each polygroup is its own subtool.
I read here:
http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/GrpSplit:_Splitting_Your_Mesh_Into_Subtools
that you can use "split" to accomplish this.
I can't find anything called split in the subtool menu. Where is it?

I see a GrpsSplit, just under delete in the subtool menu (ZBrush 4) that does what you are looking for.

Yep, "Groups Split" is what you want here. Incidentally, if you want to split it up in other places and don't want to make new polygroups to do it, you can also hide parts of the mesh and use the "Split Hidden" button.
